Postdocs of Cambridge (PdOC)

The PdOC Committee

The PdOC committee is a group of postdocs drawn from all over the university who organise meetings, write the newsletter and liaise with people in the University governance to try and better the lot of postdocs. We arrange social events throughout the year, and we are always on the look out for good ideas, or people to help organise things. We offer advice and information on college and University matters.

To contact the committee with any enquiries, e-mail soc-pdoc-committee AT lists.cam.ac.uk.

PdOC does not have elections for posts. The postdoc population is transient and we have a very high rate of turnover of committee members. We find it's best to call for volunteers and take as many people as we can get at any given time. Come and join us! We'd love to hear about your ideas. We're especially interested in having more members from the arts, humanities and social sciences.

Over the years many people have contributed to the committee on a purely voluntary basis to help put postdocs on the map in Cambridge. We thank them for their efforts and wish them well in their future endeavours.
